2nd Annual Denver Film Festival, “Truth Be Told”

On May 21st, Denver INC is partnering again with neighborhood and community groups across Denver to host the 2nd Annual Denver Community Film Fest at the historic 130 year old Elitch Theatre in North Denver. This year, we’ll be screening Truth Be Told, a documentary taking viewers inside newsrooms across Colorado, revealing how local journalists report, verify, and connect with the communities they serve. You can learn more about the film and register here. We’ll also be screening a short film titled This is South Broadway ~ stories series by Lucky District 7. This short film dives into what has always been a place for dreamers, doers, and the determined. It is a look into the history and the people who continue to shape and uphold South Broadway’s iconic legacy.
At the Historic Elitch Theater:
4600 W 37th Pl, Denver, CO 80212, USA
The evening will include:
A pre-film reception
A screening of Truth Be Told
A post-film discussion with community journalists
We already have strong support from partners like the Colorado News Collaborative, The Colorado Sun, Bucket List Community News, the University of Denver, and a growing coalition of neighborhood and community organizations across Denver.
Last year we had 50 co-host organizations for this event! If your RNO or community organization would like to join this year we’d love to welcome you and continue building a citywide network of community-focused organizations.
You can register your organization to co-host this year’s event right here
